Cdios Description

Cdios CAN Node
A Cdios CAN Nodes consists of one 6152 controller and up to 16 I/O modules.
A CAN System consist of one of more Cdios CAN Nodes and other CAN devices.
Gateway
The 6152 Cdios controller is basically a gateway between the CAN bus and the connected Modules.
Commands
Commands are given in a following format;
CAN ID, Module ID, Command Selector, Command data.
Performance
Each Cdios controller can process up to 4 commands per millisecond.
Events
A Cdios I/O module can be configured for event messages,
when an action, a limit or an error is generated a message will be create and
send to the PC.
A event driven system can save a lot of communication messages;
receive just one status message instead of asking the status 100 times per
second!
Local Task
The 6152 Cdios Controller can perform a local task by writing a
sequence program.

Application Program
In a CAN System normally the application runs in a PC, the CAN network is the link to the input/output devices.
