The advantages of a stepper motor.

  • The speed is proportional to the frequency of input pulses.
  • Digital control of speed and position.
  • Open loop system with no position feedback required.
  • Excellent response to acceleration, deceleration and step commands.
  • No cumulative position error.
  • Excellent low speed / high torque characteristics without gear reduction.
  • Adjustable torque in static position.
  • Bi directional operations.
  • No brushes for long trouble free life
